In the 90's it was DJ Sharpnel who put Japanese Hardcore (J-Core) on the map by starting his own label. Unfortunately we had to learn that DJ Sharpnel has stopped performing abroad. We were very grateful that DJ Chucky aka M-Project and Kamikaze were willing to make the long journey to the Netherlands for us!
In order to do full justice to the J-core sound at Ouwe Stijl is Botergijl, I decided to show my respect by playing a 'Sharpnel Tribute Set' in honor of this legend and all our Japanese Gabber friends!
