If that is your back-up you have the files somewhere else on your pc.

Ok dude, sounds like you formatted your drive to work with your 360. You can look up stuff on google on how to get the files back. Only one format doesn't make it impossible to get your stuff back, but you'll likely need to download and BUY a recovery program ( :showtek: ) and plug the drive in your pc, and try getting your files back. www.download.com might have a program to use. Also, I don't think the 360 supports external memory yet. Next one might support it, but right now, external HDD's, USB drives, won't work.

Since 2 days the xbox supports external memory. (max 16GB, if its bigger it will just ignore the rest)
Next time read the text before you press confirm :aww:

Ofcourse there is software to get it back, but since you already tried that I guess you cant get it back.

thats not good dude
but believe me.. i had the same problem 1year ago.. my pc crashed and harddrive was empty >.< i think its better now.. my pc runs faster, and i have only this music i want to hear...

now to your problem : i read that the xbox use another format for harddisk's as the pc.. when its correct your files are lost :^)

Hope you dont use the harddisk now and start to copy files on them? DONT DO THAT when you want your files back..
maybe this programm helps you "PC Inspector File Recovery" .. worked good for some friends of me!
and dont think that you can restore all files.. think 500gb is very much

hope i helped you and good luck

Depends how the xbox formatted the disk...
No file is gone unless its "Whiped" off the disk (which takes 7 hours)
You just need a program to recover it with...
The Police will surely have it :p

Kind of new here but i thought i would spread some help.
Theres a free programme to download called winundelete which should be able to recover all you files.
Same sort of thing happened to me lately, it really sucks so good luck getting your stuff back

i love LSDB
1)Try R-Studio Data Recovery
http://download.cnet.com/R-Studio-Data-Recovery/3000-2094_4-10061966.html

2)Try a Knoppix live Linux(or Ubuntu live) CD system; just boot from CD, no install necessary, then mount the drive and see what you can see.

goodluck!
