what about crossbreed?

I don't see a tag for "remix" house and original house, so why should there be further division between Hardstyle? If we seperated everything by mainstream and non-mainstream, we'd have more than twice the genres already.
Also, what's Crossbreed? I haven't heard of it, and it sounds interesting

@ Legolas: I mean that seperating genres by "remix songs" and original songs is a horrible idea, at least in my opinion., but my example was a bad one.
@ Deluge: Sounds interesting, I'll try to look into it.

I vote for a "happy hardstyle" or "housestyle" tag so the "hardstyle" tag won't be polluted with top40 songs, 2 minute breaks, dubstep, rihanna, raped trance classics, brennan heart etc. anymore.

I think there must be an additional tag, to differentiate the "classic Drum & Bass", and The "Drum & Bass / Hardcore; Core & Bass".
Justly, what should we think of a "Core & Bass" tag? or Drum & Core?

Well D&B is a big genre. We've already got Jungle which is more oldschool, Darkstep, but there's still Techstep, Skullstep, etc.
Or how about the crossbreed idea be put into play, but if the set's got tracks that are a mix of styles (Dubstyle, D&B/Hardcore, Housey-Trance), you can select a "Mix" genre that allows you to select the two genres, and it makes a custom colortag for the set: EX DubStyle would be orange/Red?
Just my bad idea

Think it's about time there was a tech dance tag.
Tech trance and hard trance don't cover the new techy sound within hard dance that most of my gearbox mixes would be described as.

Tagging it as hc/dnb for the moment. Genre needs to develop to be worth a tag imo.

Skullstep=darkstep.
While your idea has come up before, I like to keep things as easy as possible, we already have close to 60 different genretags at the moment.

Another name for darkstep. Darkstep is more commonly accepted though. Just like hardcore is called gabber sometimes, multiple names for the same thing.
