The most hotly anticipated poll in dance music history has now launched – MIXMAG’S GREATEST DJ OF ALL TIME and EDDIE HALLIWELL has deservedly been shortlisted.Over the next few months, Mixmag is asking dance music lovers to make history by taking part in the most important DJ poll ever by voting for their greatest DJ of all time. EDDIE HALLIWELL may be the youngest talent among this list of dance music greats, but this bears no hold on his technical proficiency and awe inspiring stage presence. No other DJ reads and connects with the crowd as Eddie does, no other DJ can bring a room alive like Eddie and no other DJ comes anywhere near. Pioneer of dance music, Judge Jules gave his opinion on why Eddie IS the greatest DJ of all time: “Eddie looks in to people’s eyes and he performs. Incredible stage performance, incredible skills, and an almost telepathic ability to read a crowd – Eddie’s got everything.” Eddie Halliwell plays Fire It Up at The Savoy Theatre Cork this February 11th 2011 with Jordan Suckley and support from Mark Young and Mucca. EDDIE HALLIWELL INTERVIEW
1. You’ve were nominated in Mixmags greatest DJ of all time Poll how did that feel?
I felt privileged to be part of such a list and never expected to be in something like this at my age, there are some people twice my age there are some serious legends in there, DJ’s I look up to and admire.

2. Who is your greatest DJ of all time?
That’s a tough one I admire different DJs for so many different things

3. Where did you spend New Year?
I played in Puerto Rico on new year’s eve this year. My favourite NYE gig of all time has to be a gig I did a couple of years ago on a beach in Rio De Janeiro, playing to over one million people that was an incredible sight and experience!

4. What was your highlight for 2010?
2010 was another great year Ibiza, Brazil and Australia were highlights for me I love playing in these territories. Two real stand out gigs being Green Valley in Brazil and Summadayze festival in Gold Coast both immense!

5. What are your plans for 2011?
To keep the fire fully fueled!

6. How’s the Fire it up Radio Show going?
From Strength to Strength I’ve got 10 million listeners, spanning from every corner of the globe. It’s amazing to be able to hit such as vast audience every week with the syndicated show.

7. You have a big following over in Ireland, are you looking forward to playing The Savoy in Cork?
I can’t wait! I love the Irish crowd and the atmosphere is always nuts in Ireland they love a good party.

8. What can we expect?
Full fire!.

9. Tell us about Ed-It?
ED-IT is an exclusive platform for me to perform from, a show with special effects and visuals all integrated into what I am doing on stage. It allows me to be a more creative DJ, using equipment to remix/re-edit tracks live, hence the name.

10. Tell us about the Eddie Halliwell I-Phone App?
