I just made this topic so others can share their wisdom of future tech and tell each other what to look out for in the future obviously.

I came across this video, explaining a new technology for DJ’s, called the Multi Touch Light Table, built by Gregory Kaufman. This is so fascinating and futuristic! “The big difference with this one, as you can probably guess, is that it employs a gesture-based interface that lets you spin the virtual turntables and use a variety of taps and finger swipes to replicate the main functions of a regular DJ deck.” All you need to carry with you is a usb with your music.

When using cdj2000 you can carry only usb drives too.

On nature one 2011 you were able to test one of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaiRLpuwDZ0 ... and they suck. Touchscreens are funny for digital actions ( Hotcue, Effeckt On/Off etc.) but when it comes to fader or knobs it's simply useless technology!
