No wonder, far too much work for nothing back in return.
The whole idea of a round system fucks everything up as well. I done one easy as fuck competition which turned out to be shit hot.
All contestants send one mix. Its judged on 4 or 5 different factors and then whoever scores highest - takes all (nothing)
Maybe later in the year we can give it another bash.

I thought it was fine last year really. We just need star to take care of it

In fact i think the rounds idea adds more depth to a competition, because you'd have to do different things per round, ending up in one massive genre-tour with your final mix (which i really enjoyed making)

Yeah, definitely, it does add depth, but it also adds time and effort. After a fair bit of time people just lose interest.
Next competition we do should be simplified and should take much less time.

How about setting up a poll for each category and let the LSDB users vote for their favourite mix from that category? This will determine the winners for each category for 2012?

disappointed , tournament was always great to blow the dust of the decks. however i recon the tournaments being organized by star were the best ones. .. .star come back :P
