"Back in 2008, I dusted off my rusty mixing skills and got back into the groove, re-initiating myself by making 10 jungle mixes in 10 weeks. Three of the ten were focused on the work of a single artist, showcasing the best of the amen-oriented work they released between the years 1993 and 1996. One of the three artists I chose was Marc Royal, better known as T-Power, and underknown as Atomic Dog. If you're not familiar with his work, or you only know it marginally, and you call yourself a junglist, you should be ashamed, but better late than never, so here's the scoop: http://www.discogs.com/artist/T.Power

Here’s the travelogue:

We kick off the festivities with one of my favorite records to use as an intro, "The Elemental," then segue into a tune from each of his early hardcore/jungle fusion records on the label Soapbar. Next we score the soundscape with his seminal intelligent/jazzy work, "Mutant Jazz.," before diving into his three releases under the pseudonym Atomic Dog on the label Deep Thought. We follow that up with a jaunt through his remix work, beginning with his epic version of DJ Soul Slinger's "Abducted," and extending through three remixes of Shy FX tunes, which take greatness and turn it up a notch (or twelve). Nearing the home stretch, we end the journey with my personal favorite jungle tune of all time, my pick as the masterpiece of T-Power's musical genius: "Amber." A priceless gem in the rough if ever a jungle archeologist did find one."
