Hey guys!

Another year has ended. And as my personal gift for you guys supporting my sets, I mixed my personal favourite Top 40 this year.
In my opinion this year was a great one for our beloved Hardstyle music again! Big artists are more and more focussing on new talents in the scene which gives a really fresh breeze to the scene. I'm talking about artists like Profite, Omegatypez or The Anarchist. I think we are going to hear a lot of great stuff from those new talents.

2011 was also the year of a new generation of Hardstyle Podcasts. Mr. Headhunterz definitely took this to another level! To be honest it's the first podcast (in Hardstyle) I look forward to every month. He is playing tracks from talents + many unreleased stuff + classics from the past. All that combined makes it definitely the best Hardstyle Podcast out there. I have huge respect for his work.

A little disappointment this year were the anthems for me. 1. There were too many anthems for little parties, destroys that "special bit" of anthems IMO. 2. The anthems were all in all pretty uninspired, but hey, let's hope for better ones next year
2011 was also the year of albums. I personally don't like albums tbh, I rather have 1-2 well worked out tracks out every month instead of many 13 in a dozen tracks. But of course every album has it's masterpieces.

Another big news were the split up from Bioweapon, there were rumours about fights or something, but to be honest: I couldn’t care less, it’s all about the music. We got some nice new artists from that split up: Audiofreq & Code Black. Especially Code Black has blown up my mind with his unique, fresh & hard style.

Last but not least I have to mention a new born live-act in 2011: Gunz for Hire aka Ran-D & Adaro. The scene would definitely miss something if those 2 weren’t here. With tracks like Sorrow or Put it on they really blow off the roofs on every dancefloor!

What can we expect for 2012?

Well, A LOT! Of course Noisecontrollers are coming up with their album, they are still the most skilled producer scene, so I expect a lot.
A-Lusion announced that he will release some special EP’s with something we never heard before, it was a bit quit around him this year, so I think we can expect something special!
We will see new collaborations, new albums, new concept’s, the scene is growing and growing.
