For what I know, define a track mainstream NOW it means that the track meets certain contemporary fees .. kiss was mainstream, but now No longer is. Old tracks that are now defined early, before they were mainstream because they followed the canons of mainstream production of those times ... the music evolves and changes all the time ... the term mainstream is a "contemporary" term and can not be used with production of 10 years ago, although remember the sound of now!
