Stampede invites: Seckra
Pascal Rooijkackers aka DJ Seckra is the first guest-dj on Stampede’s podcast as resident for Toxic Sickness Radio. Pascal is well-known in the free-style scene as DJ Pascal Rolay.
At the age of 18, he entered the Q-Dance DJ-contest in 2003 and won, giving him the opportunity to play at the very first edition of Defqon 1 Festival the same year. From that moment, everything went very fast for Pascal. He got major attention and respect from the crowd and partyorganizers, because he’s a DJ with one hand.
Short after is Defqon 1 appearance, he started producing with his buddy Jasper vd Meijs aka DJ Chaps, which resulted in the duo Chaps & Rolay. After one year of learning the ropes of producing, they finished their first track, but unfortunately couldn’t release it…until they met DJ Yves, known as the face and resident DJ of the legendary club “Club X” in Belgium. The three started to work on a track, which resulted in the massive hit “Devil’s Fiction”. This track is still being played at major festival’s and parties worldwide and got remixed in the years to come, last time in 2010 by Dr. Rude.
As a DJ, he likes to play a great diversity of styles, but likes to play tracks with a high adrenaline-rate. You could say, he plays a mainstream set but with some rough extra’s and surprising tracks along the way to keep the blood pumping. He finds the most important about his set: a great atmosphere, and a crowd that start’s to move from the beginning till the end.
Lately, Pascal started to focus more and more on playing and producing hardcore-music by the name of his new alter-ego “Seckra”. You can expect a lot from his works in the near future, so stay tuned…
