I'm adding my recordings of the Closing Ceremony to the list as my stream never dropped for the full 3 hours. They're the MEGA links - one is in mp3 (256k) and the other is in FLAC (lossless), enjoy everyone! It was a spectacular edition!

Lol - my reasoning is that it's better to have the option of hearing it as it sounded on the stream as opposed to only having a recompressed version availabe. Granted, mp3 technology today is definitely better than it was say 10 years ago, but maybe someone out there will appreciate the extra effort. Burning my original wavs to CD as we speak .

At the end you still get 112 kpbs mp3 and not wav / mp3 256 kbps.
You are just def, talking about .flac and recording compressed mp3 on cd converted on .wav and think that you hearing true quality... people are strange ones...
At fact previous people rips here by specs are even better than yours, it's a call that you should convert them into 24/96 .wav and so you will hear awsm quality

I also meant to ask, jxl - how did you record your rip? I used Audacity and recorded the stream through Stereo Mix on my sound card.

Probably it exists but if any will be released it will be compressed for sure

Hey jxl & Motorhead,
Sorry for causing all this trouble on my first couple of posts. I should have clarified/added a few things last night when uploading these:
-That these were recorded from the same stream as the other uploads were.
-That I only added the Flac link to give people the option to download an uncompressed version of the already compressed mp3 stream (in case someone wanted to do a reconvert the audio to some format besides mp3).
To quote Motorhead: "At the end you still get 112 kpbs mp3 and not wav / mp3 256 kbps." I 100% get this concept, no amount of upconverting is going to make the recorded audio sound better than 128 kbits because the stream was originally broadcast in 128kbits. But, in the event that someone does download the mp3 and want to do a second encode for whatever reason (for example) to aac or ogg vorbis, it's always better to start with an uncompressed source than to just reencode an already compressed mp3 file
Again, I get that this was originally broadcast at ~128k give or take. I just wanted to give people the option of archiving the original ~128k stream as it was heard yesterday vs. archiving a further compressed resaved/re-exported mp3 file.
Hopefully that helps clear things up (and sorry for the kinda-long explanation) - just trying to defend myself and not make it seem like I'm crazy in providing a link that's unnecessarily big. Might the whole process be unnecessary for a stream that sounded low-quality to begin with? Maybe, but I just thought that giving people the option would be helpful. I certainly do not want to make it seem like I am disparaging jxl's upload.
