A mix i always wanted to do and never had the time. The absolute roots of how i was formed as a music fan & wannabee Dj. For anyone in the South of england who was into Early Rap & Hip Hop in the mid 80's, Mike Allen was our guiding light, and the main source was the mighty Groove Records, 52 Greek St., London W1 - the place that literally had everything --before everyone. US Imports you would have trouble finding anywhere else. Mike Allens Frontline Chart was based on sales from here, shows religiously recorded & lists made of the most dangerous cuts availabe at the time........The tracks that gave me my identity way before Acid & house.......Many of these tracks sampled 10 years later in some of mine & Hellfish's Deathchants. ......The absolute roots of "Our" version of hardcore
