Bristol based Kyrist has certainly sky rocketed since her first release in 2012 on Syrenz. Since then she has put out consistently banging tracks on the likes Proximity, Nurtured Beatz, Vandal and Dutty Audio. Before finding her ‘home’ on Dispatch Recordings which has allowed her to hone her craft and has resulted in her recent third EP release on the label.
Kyrist is also a super sharp DJ and although she is mostly known for the techier side of dnb, she can switch styles with excitement, ease and anticipation, which is why she is already so revered amongst the dnb community. We speak to Kyrist to find out about her latest release, inspiration and what it’s like to captain your own Red Bull boat party.
