Snare oriented super ensemble 3RDKND (Donny, Forbidden Society and Katharsys) return to their Forbidden Society Recordings stomping ground for another output of frenzied Drum & Bass entitled ''Cognitive EP''. The standard is set high as the first drum hit kicks in, with staggering rhythmic patterns that creep in throughout the first track ''Panger''. The title effort ''Cognitive'' turns up the dial a notch with densely programmed percussion and bold snares that urge the listener to drown in a concrete wall of sound that then subtly alternates with a gloomy breakdown. ''The Upside Down'' is a club track that doesn't beat around the bush. The 'Audio' remix of 3RDKND's ''The Artifact'' is staying true to the original cut whilst changing the pace entirely. Cognitive EP is available from all specialized retailers starting November 9.
