No 'Hardcore' here

Coherent incoherence
It was called hardcore back in the day. 'Breakbeat Hardcore' called years later, for promotional purposes or to define the genre better.

Hardcore jungle is another thing, hehe.

Check Discogs for this record played for instance:

https://www.discogs.com/D-Force-Original-Bad-Boy-EP/release/29645

Style: Breakbeat, hardcore

Not to nitpick this style naming till infinity but this 91-92-93 'hardcore' thing was/is too big and too defined stylistically to name it oldschool jungle.
Call it oldskool rave hardcore, breakbeat hardcore, it was named hardcore anyway.
Infact what came after was 'happy hardcore', 'jungle', 'drum 'n bass (jungle's offspring)' etc.
There are jungle records in this mix too btw.

I didn't know Ishkur had an updated version of his guide https://music.ishkur.com/ , the (technical) divisions in hardcore in the beginning of the 90's are made clear and the origins are nicely exemplified with samples. Not to be a dick here but i already exposed my opinion on the genre/style naming process in the shoutbox i will not repeat it here for the moment.

Discogs: breakbeat, hardcore
Ishkur: oldskool rave hardcore
Blogtotheoldskool: hardcore, breakbeat hardcore

The 'Hardcore' tag is not used for this genre on lsdb. It's that simple. But you're still right!
