Stromtod stands for hard, electronic, dark and distorted sounds. In terms of genre, there are hardly any limits here. Everything that fits in is also used in the sets. The set list moves mainly in the area of Induastrial Techno / Warehouse Techno, Hard Techno, Dark Techno, Industrial Dance Music, Rhythm and Noise, Industrial Hardcore, Darkcore, Doomcore, Aggrotech / Hellektro and Crossbreed. Occasionally, however, rawstyle tracks or the like also find their way into the Dj sets
DJ Stromtod was part of the 2-man formation NOIZETRAIN, which regularly mixed up the local scene parties in the dark electro / industrial / goth area and shook the gloomy walls and cellar vaults according to all the rules of the art. With your masks, the show and 200% energy, they were the highlight of every party. With the death of DJ Sonoir, the Noizetrain project also died and Andreas aka Stromtod began to focus on producing music. DJ gigs became rarer.
Stahldisko Zürich wrote in June 2013 about DJ Stromtod:
"The first time at STAHL DISKO is the Austrian DJ Stromtod. At the young age of 15, Andi aka DJ Stromtod was involved in a goth party for the first time - it was the legendary“ Schwarzflug ”party in Vienna (which later became Club Pi Since then, the dark harmonies and hard beats haven't let go. Within a short time he mutated into a DJ and played at all the well-known parties on the black scene in Austria. He also became a resident DJ at Club Pi. But instead of always the playing the same moldy sounds, DJ Stromtod turned to new dark beats. His set mixes whipping aggrotech with dark doom and dark core and other twirling rhythms. Here you dance - whether you like it or not! "
DJ Stromtod was resident DJ at Megiddo and later resident DJ at Club [Pi] / Vienna until 04/2013
This was followed by numerous appearances in Austria and abroad. At the Wave-Gotik-Treffen he was allowed to fill the masses with pounding kick drums, cutting hi-hats and aggressive synth lines as part of the WGT Noise Floors or in the Darkflower. He also organized his own series of parties called Noize Syndrome for a number of years in the Viper Room Vienna.
In the meantime, Stromtod has already delivered a few remixes for numerous big names in the scene such as Nachtmahr, Chainreactor, ESA and Stahlschlag.
In the meantime, Stromtod's productions are mainly in the industrial and hard techno area, where he has definitely found his home.
On June 7th, 2021, the first techno single, “The Cave”, was released on Betrieb Records Berlin. This started the journey as a techno producer and further releases are already planned.
