"Some 25 years after the recording of my first hardcore gabber mix, this set is released - sounding pretty much excactly the same as it would have done in 1995. But all these tracks are produced the last couple of ten years, during which period the Norrland Gabber Crew of northern Sweden has done an immaculate job of keeping the TRUE hardcore spirit alive.
As you're about to find out there's absolutely nothing about their sound which isn't prominent also in the original Rotterdam/Brooklyn/Newcastle gabber style of the mid 90s, but it is also a sound devoid of the sugarcoated and super polished elements of most "modern gabber", one of the largest and perhaps THE most surprising trend of the last couple of years.
NGC isn't jumping on any millenials' kind of commercial band wagon, they constructed their very own hardcore EPA tractor years ago.
So basically enjoy this set as the blast from the past but also the fresh promise of things to come that it is. It is recorded as a hit-and-run party style megamix of 13 tunes in 40 minutes, breaknecking between 160 bpm, almost the double - and back again.
