i used to get a lot of problems depending on what input socket i was using on the computer. theres about 5 of my mixes that are muffled as fuck from bass when i first started out.
I just record mine at a really low volume now and then turn it up afterwards. I dont even use speakers when i mix anymore, i just use headphones.

Works a treat. just need the 3 channels for the headphoens and your laughing. sounds better coming through the speakers anyway and this way the noise police dont get called!

before you. although that'd be kinda cheeky seen has how you showed me it! What a fucking tune!
your recording your mixes a little too loud btw. I would take the master volume well down and then increase the volume on whatever programe you use to record afterwards. If your seeing your mixers DB reading going into the red then its too loud mate.
Mixing sounds really good though but its hard to listen to transitions and the full mixes because the bass is distorted.
