I've told you five times. Acting professional is not the same as being a professional, you won't come in the pro list. Demanding you should be in the pro list is btw very unprofessional :bye:

If I was demanding it i'd say tell that here and on msn (bert) long ago.
I only make a general statement on where the line between amateurs and pro's is put.
Since I was named in the starterspost, I definately feel spoken-to to bump in.

But I guess what people see as "pro" are people that made their job out of music (famous, made it to the top, professionals)

Well for starters you can't say that you are speaking the truth. It's just your view on the subject, I respect that but I don't agree, and with me I think 90% of LSDB.
Yes, I named you in the starterspost, but you are the least of the problem. Heatzone for example is way more professional then you, however, I still think they should go with amateur, because they can't make a living out of it. Eventhough I like their shit, I'm just being objective.

Alright, so how do you intend to figure out who makes a living out of it and who doesnt?

examples like Technoboy are certain, while Digital Punk f.e. are smaller names
Yet, they both play on bigstar events :)
too much 'grey area' imo

There you have your answer... and if I'm not mistaken that's exactly what m4a1 said from the beginning. ^.^

Digital Punk is no problem, he's pro.

I do agree and I don't have a solution right now. :p

Pithune, you see pro as an attitude. There lies the problem.
We're talking about professionality here as dj'ing for a living. Not about attitude.

I also agree, however, with a lot of amateursets cleared from pro, it's much better for me:D

10 bookings = prof
<10 = amateur

Why not? It's an easy standard.. and it takes away all the 'grey' area

Because someone who is a DJ for ten years and has had one booking per year is NOT an professional. Grey area stays, but it doesn't matter.

Gast, je bent gewoon geen professional (op dit moment), al heb je tien boekingen gedaan of niet. Klaar.
