20.00 - Re-Born & Verjo
21.00 - Phil Mackintosh
22.00 - Morten Berg
23.00 - Dean Myler
Re-Born & Verjo along with Gearbox resident SickMan, are the kings of Hard Tech at the moment and continue to dominate the Tech chart on trackitdown. The last set made for gearbox by Verjo was nothing short of a masterpiece, but now this duo come together to bring us another heart thudding mix that will keep your fist pumping throughout.
It is not unusual for Phil Mackintosh to be mistaken for god when he steps behind the decks. His mixes ooze a degree of class that most other DJ's can not keep up with. This 3 deck sensation will blend another hour full of monster tracks together in a way that will leave you astounded. Be SURE to check this mix out.
Morten Berg recently celebrated a release with his girlfriend Lulu evans on the huge world renound label International hard Dance Sessions. His track 'Here We Go' was remixed by Geck-o with outstanding consequences and hopefully it will propel this hard working duo to the top of the hard dance scene as they fully deserve it with the amount of effort they put into the scene.
Resident Myler will then end the night on a more relaxed note as he treats us to a Myler special which takes us on a journey through a few different genres in an alternative sounding hard dance.
20.00 - Dimavi
21.00 - Darren Hall
22.00 - Loony
23.00 - Dermot Bateman
Gearbox is absolutely delighted to announce that opening the show this week, is none other than, Dimavi. For those who are unfamiliar with the name, Dimavi is the original sound that Hardstyles Chris One produced for Theracords. Dimavi has a dark and edgy sound and this mix is a perfect demonstration of his excellent style. Expect some tech trance classics along with a couple of his own productions.
Darren Hall is yet another exciting prospect hailing from Ireland. His productions are more along the trance road and he has releases on Digitally Infected White and Implosion. You should expect to hear mroe from this young talent as not only is he a class producer, his mixing is superb and this mix will show that in a very clear way.
Loony, or Mr Reliable as he is known to the Gearbox team, earned his reputation as one of the best DJ's on the show after producing excellent mix after excellent mix after excellent mix. Loony never ever fails to get the listeners fists pumping as he plays out the best and hardest reverse bass hard trance from back in the day right up until now.
Dermot Bateman then plays us out with a mix that has become somewhat of a speciallity from him for the show. A beautiful selection of chilled out hard trance with major influences from Techno makes this a perfect way to wind down after another excellent episode of Gearbox.

20.00 - Desudo
21.00 - Pred
22.00 - KRM
23.00 - Morten Berg & Lulu E
Desudo kicks the show off this week with a mix filled the softer side of tech trance and some techno. This mix contains tunes which Desudo views as life changing as he developed his taste in trance through these epic tracks. The mix shall progress beautifully to some of the best harder tracks of this year.
Pred's mix is yet another fine example of how to start with something a little softer and build up your tracklist to the hard hitting tracks that will fill the dance floor. This mix is certain to get you moving, especially when he belts out his latest release at the end of the mix.
KRM is a resident of Gearbox's harder show but he has produced a mix which showcases some of the best tracks from his days as a hard trance DJ. This mix is filled with some beautiful oldies which will remind people of a better time for hard trance. This mix should not be missed.
20.00 - Fujin Ku
20.30 - Desudo
21.00 - Pred
22.00 - GR-1
Gearbox is absolutely delighted to finally have found contact with the very inconspicuous but highly talented Fujin Ku. Another Welsh talent under the belt of the Kiddfectious label has brought a new sound to the table that is instantly recognisable. His productions have an air of BRK3 about them as they provide beautiful thudding muddy kicks with massive electro styled riff paterns and not to mention some of the best and most melodic breakdowns you are likely to hear. Fujin Ku was, for me, the stand out producer of 2011 and this mix which is a producer showcase of all his tunes, will leave you with your jaw to the floor thinking exactly the same thing as me. Make sure you catch this set because it is a different class and a very early contender for the best Gearbox set of 2012.
The shows host will then play a set which doesn't so closely resemble the liveset he played when he supported Phil York, Argy and Projekt.tek on Boxing day last week. The mix is filled with a variation of different styles and devles into the darker techier sound of hard trance but also brings you some highly melodic, very catchy and hugely popular hard trance before bursting out a few hardstyle beats at the end. Desudo regards this as one of his finest sets so be sure to catch the second hour as well.
And since you are on a roll of excellent sets you may as well stay tuned for the highly talented Australian sensation Pred. One of Gearbox's favourite residents never fails to produce a fantastic mix which always defines his style in a perfect hour of the best in his genre at the time. If you want to keep up with the current scene right now, Pred is the man to listen to.
But here on Gearbox we don't just like to bring you the newest tracks on the scene, we also like to give the older tunes a blast to remind us where we came from and we also like to give opportunities to DJ's who want to send us their mixes. LSDB will know GR-1 as Zieloneq but his French supporters will know him as 'That Man Playing Le Awesome Museek' Tune into GR-1 turning back the clocks and bringing you some oldschool trance classics.
20.00 - DJ Audy
21.00 - Lee Mac
22.00 - Wragg & Log:One
23.00 - Busho & Side E-Fect
Multiple BBC Radio1 airplays and tracks on the biggest labels in hard dance including Tidy Trax, Riot!, Tech Fu Recordings and AwSum are just a few accomplishments from one of hard dance’s most exciting female artists. Her list of support reads like the who's who in the hard dance world with ...regular support from Lisa Lashes, Kutski, A.S.Y.S., Scott Attrill and many more.To top off her impressive list of accolades is her involvement in one of the most exciting record labels in the tech dance scene. Tech Fu Recordings, a subsidiary of Kung Fu Wax has been consistently hitting the top 10's in the charts as well as receiving an enormous amount of support on BBC Radio1. Guided by DJ Audy, Tech Fu's future is indeed bright.
Lee Mac is still going from strength to strength as a producer and DJ, this set is another testiment to the progress he has been making in the scene. With some brand new tracks he has just finished off and some brand new Subground promo's to be played, Lee is all set to play us another awe inspiring set. If only the set had been a little later in the month, we would have been able to hear the brand new track he is working on for Gearbox Digital
Wragg & Log:one are an instantly recognisable name in the hard trance world that Gearbox host, Desudo, has been trying to get on the show for years! For the last 6 years wragg & log:one have been honing their unique sound, bringing hard trance bang up to date and back to the forefront of the global hard dance scene. Since joining forces in 2005 the duo have been in high demand and showcased their talents at some of dance music’s biggest events around the globe. Some of the achievements from this duo are no less than a dream for any DJ producer, playing events such as Defqon.1, Glastonbury's legendary HQ stage, their own Austrlian tour and not to mention Dance Valley in a back to back with Fausto. The set from these lads will be a punishing 60 minutes of their take on the scene's classic hard trance sound, a sound which is instantly recognisable with their label Atmosphere:Recordings, which homes artists such as Ian Cross and Nomad.
Busho continues his Digitally Infected Podcast with something a little harder than the usual this week. Side E-Fect was THE major player in the British Hardstyle scene last year after his great success on the K405 label and it seems he set for another massive year after the excellent success of his newest track 'Devil's Work' which has been top of the Trackitdown Hardstyle chart for numerous weeks running. Specializing in deep pounding kick drums and distorted, dark leads his distinctive sound is evident in both his DJ sets and productions: reminiscent of the hardstyle legends of Europe but with his own unique edge. Having spent the last 3 years perfecting this unmistakable sound, both his passion for the Dutch hardstyle music of today and his drive to continue to produce his own brand of dark, diving hard dance are set to ensure that this set, will not be one you will forget any time soon.
